Three activity verticals

Lectures. A journal. Briefs the Global South can act on.

Each vertical turns the mission into a concrete, recurring programme — from a lecture hall in Goa to a peer-reviewed journal read across 130 countries.

01

Outreach

Bringing people into the room

  • Organise four lectures a year in various colleges of Goa
  • Conduct workshops in any part of India
  • Conduct international webinars for the Global South audience, twice a year
  • Mentor students doing PhD theses or MSc dissertations, in tie-ups with universities
  • Hold a biennial Global South Meet of Professionals
02

GS-Journal

GS-JSSSPA — Global South: an interdisciplinary quarterly journal of science, society, sustainability and public affairs

  • Publish four issues a year of the peer-reviewed international journal GS-JSSSPA
  • Establish CCR Press (TPA — Tapovan Academic Publica)
  • Form an International Advisory Board
  • Form an International Editorial Board
  • Choose the best paper from the roughly 80 published across four issues each year for the Annual Global South Award
03

GS-Briefs / Books / Index

Research designed to be used

  • Research and design a Global ManavNama Index (GMI) for 180 countries worldwide — a "mother of all indices" measuring how human a country is
  • Publish four-page policy briefs and working papers every April and September
  • Publish monographs, edited volumes and a Global South Report — one publication every three years
  • Make documentary films and field-study reports on current issues
